When the double roller granulator granulation the material, the roller surface will wear gradually. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the material is uniformly fed into the granulator along the length of the drum. If the feed is uneven, the surface of the drum will have circular grooves, which will affect the normal operation of the fertilizer granulator and the product size will be uneven. When feeding, the feeder shall not only be uniformly and continuously fed, but also its length must be consistent with the length of the drum.

The double roller granulator is sometimes equipped with grinding wheel on the frame. When there are pits or grooves on the surface of the roll, the surface of the roller can be ground and repaired on the machine, without removing the roller surface, or directly grinding on the surface of the roller. Maintenance, this requires the installation of overlay welding device on the fertilizer granulator. Some drum granulators are equipped with automatic axial reciprocating motion device of the drum, which makes the surface of the drum wear even.

In addition, the wear on the surface of the drum will increase the discharge port, so it is necessary to adjust the movable drum. During adjustment, it is necessary to keep two rollers parallel to each other to prevent skew. The movable roller is installed on the rocker arm or double roller granulator with hydraulic compensation device. When moving the moving roller, the axis of the two rollers will be automatically ensured to be parallel.
